The Eastern Mongols settled south bank of the lake Baikal and became Buryats. Eastern Mongolian kings were called Taishi. Tayshet is translated as the capital city. in the 21st century the capital of byryat – mongol nation was moved to Ulan-Ude. With the end of the 16th century the mongols – buryats began to displace the indigenous Turkic-speaking peoples who lived on lake Baikal to the North, to the tundra. The last indigenous banality went to the middle Lena, to Tungus Evenki nations in the mid-17th century and became the Yakuts.
